“The First Robin of Spring”
I carved this competition-grade piece in 1995. The robin is carved from basswood; the branch is sculpted from brass and epoxy. This carving won three ribbons in the novice level at the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Wildfowl Carving Club Competition, including Second Best of Show.
